The main purpose of this study is to assess the relationship between addiction to social networks and self-regulated learning in a sample of university students. With this objective, a non-experimental, correlational and cross-sectional quantitative approach is used. The study sample was non-probabilistic and intentional and consisted of a total of 237 students from the Faculties of Industrial Engineering and Law of a public university in Lima. This sample was administered the Adapted Social Media Addiction Scale by Sahin (2018) and the Self-Regulated Learning Inventory by Torre (2007). The data obtained were processed with the SPSS V27 statistical package and the results obtained show the existence of significant relationships between the variables addiction to social networks and self-regulated learning. In other analyses, it can be observed that the dimensions of both variables are significantly correlated and, in all cases, so it is concluded that it is necessary to design training strategies aimed at strengthening the self-regulation of learning and the conscious and responsible use of digital technologies.
