One of the prevailing trends worldwide is the quality of basic education institutions, and this issue also applies to Peru. In this study on improving this quality, we analyzed the link between transformational leadership and teacher performance at School No. 6014 Virgen del Carmen, in the Villa María del Triunfo district of Lima. This study employed a quantitative, hypothetical-deductive, cross-sectional, ordinal, and non-experimental descriptive-correlational methodology.
The results showed a positive and significant relationship between the two variables, indicating a Spearman's rank correlation coefficient of 0.624 (p < 0.01), which represents the fact that transformational leadership is significantly related to teacher performance, and a high Spearman's rho correlation with teacher performance. These findings emphasize the need to operationalize transformational leadership in educational institutions to improve how schools carry out pedagogical tasks and the quality of education. Furthermore, the study provides a solid theoretical foundation for future research and interventions in educational leadership in comparable contexts.
